Lillian Burke’s novel is light on its feet and slightly out of control, in the best way. Her protagonist, Sasha Westbrook is no stranger to the strange — but time travel is a new one, even for her. Every element, from cover design to typesetting and illustrations, was built to mirror the protagonists’ off-kilter world. Experimental typography with morphed sans-serif glyphs carries the novel’s disorienting tone, while linocut-inspired illustrations bring an abstract, textured depth to the story.
